Distant Shores

When you get up, and leave. Leave your current life, for a better one. When all your worries can be a thing of the past – for a while. When your new worries consist of what time you catch the best surf and whether or not the coffee shop is open for business. When you catch the scent of the sea breeze and you know, this is exactly where you need to be.

That is how I felt that first evening on perth’s beaches, watching the sun set on my previous life. One that no longer matters. those distant hopes and dreams were washed away by the salty waves, the salty tears. And what I felt, was utter freedom.
